Update: August 30, 2016

reetings Pastors and NMI Presidents. It is with great excitement I write to you this evening! My heart has been over whelmed with joy and anticipation for a month now. Each day I awake looking forward to what God has in store for our local churches, our district as a whole, and my personal journey. The opportunities that have presented themselves in the past 4 weeks have been life changing to say the least. I pray that you are being provided and embracing the opportunities to be Jesus in your local communities. Each day strive to THRIVE!
September is ALABASTER month. The story behind the ALABSTER offering in the COTN is one in which we should perhaps revisit this fall. Broken and spilled out. Words to a beautiful song. Words we are called to live by.  I would encourage you to visit the general church website for media / ideas re ALABASTER.  If you have additional questions or are in the need of ideas, do not hesitate to contact me.  Each church is asked to participate in  ALABASTER offerings as ALABASTER is a part of who we are. We are MISSION STRONG!
Know that I am praying for your churches and your local NMI.  I appreciate your work and efforts to advance the kingdom.  In closing, I would like to remind you of the following taken from 2 Corinthians 4:16-18   16Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18So we fix our eyes not on  what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.     When you are tired, when you are weary, remember our God renews -he does not apply a Band-Aid. He renews and restores.  May you have a blessed week.
Go and Change the World!
Thrive!
Always,
Beth Wyers-Burgey
WVN NMI President
